Residential solar for your home

Understand your options before you decide. We design around your electricity use, your roof and your budget.

Choose the right type of system

On-grid

Solar panels work together with the utility grid. No batteries are needed, which keeps the system simpler. A standard on-grid system shuts down during a grid outage for safety, so it does not by itself provide brownout backup.

Hybrid

A hybrid inverter combines solar, grid and battery storage. It can store solar energy and, when designed for it, supply selected circuits during a brownout.

Off-grid

A standalone system with solar and batteries and no utility connection. It must be sized for your loads every day, so careful planning is essential.

Backup power

Not every solar system works during a brownout

Whether your home keeps power during an outage depends on the inverter capabilities, the battery configuration and the system design. A grid-tied system without a backup-capable inverter and battery will turn off when the grid goes down.

Where backup is supported, it usually covers selected circuits — such as lights, fans, refrigerator and internet — rather than every appliance. How long it lasts depends on battery capacity and what you run.

Sizing

System sizing and installation

  • Your monthly consumption and how you use power through the day.
  • Roof area, orientation, structure and shading.
  • Your goals: savings, backup, or both.
  • Electrical panel condition and utility connection requirements.
  • An ocular inspection before a proposal is prepared.

Battery storage, maintenance and upgrades

Battery storage

Store daytime solar energy for evening use or outages. Capacity and compatibility are confirmed before we recommend a combination.

Maintenance

Periodic inspection and cleaning help keep output steady. We provide technical support after handover.

Upgrades

Already have solar? We can review it and advise on adding capacity or batteries where feasible.
