About the role
As a project engineer you turn a customer's needs and a site inspection into a system design, then follow the project through installation and commissioning.
You will work closely with sales, the installation crew and customers, and help with permits and utility requirements such as net metering.
What you will do
- Size and design solar systems (panels, inverter, battery and protection) from site and bill data
- Prepare drawings, bills of materials and technical documents
- Coordinate with the installation team and check the work during installation
- Prepare commissioning tests and handover documents
- Help with permits and utility applications such as net metering
- Support troubleshooting and after-sales technical questions
What we are looking for
- Degree or training in electrical, electronics or a related engineering field
- Understanding of solar PV systems, inverters and batteries, or a strong willingness to learn
- Able to use design, drafting or spreadsheet tools
- Detail-oriented and good at documentation
- Good communication
- A professional electrical engineering license is a plus
